Rights Respecting School Award

Rights Respecting School Award Gold level achieved!

We are proud to say that we have been accredited as a Gold Level Rights Respecting School. Parkhill Junior School was assessed for the highest level of Accreditation of the Rights Respecting School Award. Our Assessors were very impressed. Of the school they said our key strengths were:

  • Very articulate children who are proud of and enjoy school.
  • Children and adults who are very knowledgeable about rights and understand their application within the school context and beyond.
  • Children who are empowered to take action.
  • Participation is extremely strong; all pupil groups have real jobs and action plans.

Gaining Gold level status means that Parkhill Junior School has embedded the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child into its ethos and curriculum, following the four RRSA standards.

We are extremely proud of our children, staff and parents for all of the hard work that they have put into achieving this over the last 3 years.

We hope that you will continue to support us on our Rights Respecting journey.

We really hope that you will feel able to support us and your child in working towards our goal of being a ‘Rights Respecting School’. We’d love for you to become involved.
