Big Breakfast

As the year drew to a close, our amazing children showed their talents and wowed the audience of the local community and parents. Follow social distancing measures, there was singing, dancing, poetry and some fantastic music played by a wide range of instruments including the recorder, french horn and drumming. A huge well done to everyone who came together to for a traditional Parkhill Big Breakfast. We unveiled the Parkhill Junior School rainbow statue, in memory of members of our local and global community who were directly or indirectly impacted by the pandemic. Made by our key workers’ children, the rainbow statue is the wonderful idea of Annika, in class 5O, who wanted to support her friends Aisha and Sana, following the loss of their grandmother. Annika wrote to Mayor Sadiq Khan, proposing that a rainbow statue is erected in all boroughs across London. In his response, Mayor Khan commended Annika on her community spirit and thoughtfulness. The rainbow is now proudly displayed, on the Parkhill Plinth.
