Dance is an important part of school life and provides children with opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork, creativity, and performance skills. Throughout the year, pupils take part in a range of exciting dance experiences and performances.
To celebrate Chinese New Year, children enjoyed a Chinese dance workshop where they learned traditional movements and explored different aspects of Chinese culture through dance. The workshop gave pupils the chance to develop coordination, focus, and collaboration skills while trying something new.
Year 3 and 4 also took part in their annual Generation Celebration performance, where they performed dances inspired by music from different decades. The children worked hard to learn routines, practise timing, and perform confidently in front of an audience. It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to showcase their enthusiasm and teamwork while celebrating music and dance through the years.
