The Eco Warriors and the children in Year 4 had the privilege of planting four young trees in the school grounds. The children learnt about the positive effect trees have on our environment and were introduced to some exciting scientific vocabulary, such as ‘photosynthesis’ and ‘abscission’. The children then dug deep and helped to plant the trees. Our Eco Warriors will be tending to the new additions as they become established.
As well as helping the school make a positive contribution to the environment, the children have created a legacy that will be enjoyed by thousands of children in the coming years.
