To celebrate National Tree Planting week, our Year 6 pupils and some of our pupil voice groups worked with Redbridge council to plant a range of native trees. As well as all the fun of planting, the children learnt about the importance of trees, their life cycle and its associated vocabulary such as osmosis, photosynthesis and chlorophyll.
“Tree planting was really fun! We were helping the environment and we learnt the meaning of scientific words such as osmosis, abscission and chlorophyll.” Khadjah and Eliza 6C
