Cycle to School Week 2024

In September, our pupils participated in our Cycle to School Challenge.  One of our many initiatives, throughout the year, to engage children in active travel to school. Pupils were reminded of the wide range of benefits to themselves and our environment, when they cycle, walk or scoot to school. They linked the HPL attribute of being concerned for society – learning that they feel more energised, improve local air quality and reduce traffic around the school.

We have Day Glow Day because at the end of October, it gets dark and we need to be seen more clearly when we are in the streets.

Each year we are reminded that Day Glow Day is not just about fun, but also about keeping us safe in the winter.
