We are very proud to say that every child in Parkhill Junior School is now first aid trained, after taking part in a 1-hour course. During the training session, the children learnt about what to do in an emergency situation. Everyone had the chance to learn how to perform CPR in the event of an emergency. The session was practical, with engaging activities to help the children learn essential skills. The First Aid training gave the children the confidence to do the right thing when it really counts.
‘When we did First Aid training, we did lots of things that are real. I know that if a person is bleeding, then I will need to give them a cloth. I found it really helpful because in the future if someone has a heart attack I know how to help them.’ – Aleeza 4A
