The school had a buzz of excitement as the children celebrated “Outdoor Learning Day”. Every area of the school, was filled with groups of children participating in exciting activities. We had Year 3 children combining their science topic to make birds nests and skeletons. Year 5 and Year 6 children took part in a maths trail and Year 3 and 4 children used their arithmetic skills to find pirate treasure.
“Today we completed a maths trail outside. We got to work with the Year 5 children which was great as I got to make new friends. As we completed the maths trailed, we helped each other and solved lots of place value problems. It was difficult having to remember where we had seen clues before. I had great fun.” Waniya 6S
