Sports Day Morning

A Successful Parkhill Active Week 2021

(15th, 16th, 17th and 18th June 2021)

Active Week this year had the school triple jumping for joy!

The children participated in their Sports Day morning with fun filled activities, lots of excitement and of course, competitiveness!

The children wore their team colours and took part in a variety of activities (where they accumulated points towards a whole school result at the end of the week). They used various skills they have been learning in their PE lessons over the year. These included relay races, chest push and standing triple jump, as well as some warm up activities to get their hearts pumping! The children of Parkhill Junior School have shown autonomy, resilience, risk taking as well as showing respect towards each other. Well done to everyone who participated.

“We were respecting by using good teamwork and showing resilience by never giving up.” Srushti in 3O

“I have really enjoyed taking part in the activities. My favourite activity was the relay race and guess what, my team won! I can not wait to do it again next year!” Darcy in 4S

“During sports day I have learnt how to do the chest push and the triple jump and the relay race. I enjoyed sports day, it has taught me a lot.” Zaynah in 5A

Here are the final results of the whole school for Sports Day:

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the day by showing: respect, resilience, and sportsmanship towards each other.
