This half term, in science, Year 5 have been learning about the solar system. The children have enjoyed discovering and analysing facts about each planet and key scientists who made discoveries about space. The children had the privilege of visiting the Wonderdome to further explore space and consolidate their learning of the solar system. The children were immersed in an interactive experience which placed them as space explorers. They were guided through the planet parade and found out new and exciting information about each planet.
“The Wonderdome was very interesting because we got to learn about the atmosphere on each planet and what would happen to us if we visited them.” Arafah 5P.
“I enjoyed my experience in the Wonderdome. It was exciting to find out that I might have the chance to go to space in my lifetime, or even work on the moon!” Lorenzo 5P.

“The Wonderdome was lots of fun and helped me learn about space more. The part I liked the most, when the meteors looked like they were falling towards me. Something new I learnt was that Mercury is the closest planet to the Earth.” Areeg 5A
