We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day at Parkhill! The day was filled with excitement, creativity, and a shared love of reading. A highlight of the celebration was our Sponsored Read, where pupils challenged themselves to read as much as possible while raising funds for new books. A huge congratulations to 5KH, who were our winning class—what an amazing achievement!
Children also enjoyed our “Reading in a Strange Place” activity, finding all sorts of unusual and imaginative spots to dive into their favourite books. It was wonderful to see reading come to life in such a fun and engaging way. Pupils and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters, bringing stories to life across the school. From classic tales to modern favourites, the costumes were creative, colourful, and full of personality. Well done to everyone who took part in making World Book Day such a memorable and inspiring celebration!
